The weight distribution system I recommend for a Grand Design Transcend Xplor 245RL is the Curt TruTrack Weight Distribution System part # C17500 which has integrated sway control and an included pre-torqued hitch ball. The Transcend Xplor 245RL has a GVWR of around 8,000 lbs which will be right in the middle of this system. Sway control isn't required but it's a huge added benefit in regards to performance.

Since you have the 27" wide entryway, the only additional thing we need to know is the "Entry Height." The attached photo will show you how to measure from the top mounting point to the ground. From there use the attached chart. For instance if your entry height was 38" high, then you would use # TLA8004.

That's a really good question but the best way to know if the bumper of your 2023 Grand Design Transcend 247BH would require reinforcing would be to check with Grand Design to determine if the bumper has a weight capacity for towing or if it's even rated for towing or not. Check the axles on your trailer and you should see a label that has the capacity listed.
